| This classification coincides with the international classification of sports and racing cars, according to which the International Automobile Federation shall register the world speed record for motor sport. Special vehicles, designed for sporting purposes, are divided into two basic categories: sports cars and racing cars. Sports cars are special, but not less than double the body and engines without superchargers. Sports cars are usually fitted as standard-cars, lighting, and alarms, as well as have the usual plumage (buffers, coating, etc.) and must be adapted to prevailing conditions on roads.
